Who We Are

BookShare is a community marketplace for lending and borrowing second-hand books. Instead of letting books sit unread on a shelf, owners can list them for other readers to rent, and readers get access to a much wider range of titles than they'd otherwise buy or find nearby.

Our Mission

Books are meant to be read, not stored. We built BookShare to make it simple and safe for book owners to earn a little extra from books they already own, and for readers to borrow books affordably instead of buying every title outright.

How It Works

Owners list their books with a monthly lending price and a maximum rental duration. Readers browse, request a book, and once the owner approves and the book is handed over, the rental period begins. Payments, security deposits, and payouts are all handled through each user's in-app wallet, and every rental is backed by ratings, reviews, and an admin-mediated dispute process if something goes wrong.
